An experimental documentary that explores the director's childhood through the only two physical items that survived his parents' 2008 divorce: a single photograph from 2000 and a lone VHS tape from 2001. By delving into these fragile fragments, the film investigates a past that can no longer be clearly remembered. The lack of archival objects reflects the main character’s fragmented memories of childhood. Although he remembers very little, a certain feeling from that time has remained with him and continues to shape him today.

A lyrical, faintly haunting chronicle of one summer in a Bosnian forest. Benjamin runs the Magic Theater, an independent troupe that has been coming here for the eighth year running to prepare the play FOREST MASQUERADE. Worn down by bureaucracy and money that always arrives late, he's searching for something primal and free. But this summer more people cancel than show up, and amid cheap masks, disco lights strung through the treetops, and morning unease, a world emerges in which it grows ever harder to tell magic apart from escape.
