If a lifetime lasted one second, what would you see?
Overview : Hiroshi Sugimoto recalls his earliest memory of seeing the sea through the windows of a train, before transforming himself into a “human camera.” With shutters fitted over his eyes, he walks through three minutes of darkness—equivalent, in his temporal metaphor, to some 15,000 years of human history—before opening them for a single second of exposure.
